Is your "key decision" still serving you?
We all have made "key decisions" in our life.
This is a decision that was made while you were experiencing an event, perhaps repeated event, where a "go to" reaction/response from that point forward for the same/similar event was set.
You made that decision given the resources, or lack thereof, available to you at that time.
❓Do some key decisions come to mind?
❓What are they?
❓How old were you when you made them?
And you made the best decision you could make at that point in time.
Ok, that was then, this is NOW.
How is that key decision working for you in your life?
Each key decision can be examined, TODAY, with the following.
THE 5 LEVELS OF TRUTH
Pick one of your key decisions and cycle it the following. Note: Your key decision will fall into one of these:
🤔 1) The truth I tell myself about myself is... 🤔 2) The truth I tell another about myself is... 🤔 3) The truth I tell myself about another is... 🤔 4) The truth I tell another about another is... 🤔 5) The truth I tell everyone about everything is...
You can get creative with these levels by swapping out the word "truth" with "hallucination".
What are some examples:
"The truth I tell myself about myself is, I'm an immigrant who is not well received in this country. I don't belong."
"The truth I tell another about myself is, I'm stupid and I struggle a lot to learn."
Now, what happens when I swap out "truth" with "hallucination"?
"The hallucination I tell myself about myself is, I'm an immigrant who is not well received in this country. I don't belong."
It's worth cycling through your key decisions. They were made at time when they served, as best as could, you in what you thought/felt you needed at that time.
Are they serving you now?
If you discover that the answer is "No.", then change the decision.
You had the power to make the decision at that point in time, and you have the power to make another decision TODAY.
What I have found works well, is that I honor the decision that is no longer serving me today.
"Hey decision, "Thank you" for providing me what I needed when I needed you. You are no longer needed in my life "Good-bye."
Key Decisions and the 5 Levels of Truth.
Examine your decision inventory.
Some "Good-byes" are perhaps needed... NOW!
