THE INTEGRATED WAY: YOU'RE NOT ALONE

Many…MANY hours before this picture was taken I was treading water with thoughts of quitting.

This was the 2012 New York Ironman.

I was 10 minutes into the swim portion of the Ironman – 2.4-mile swim, 112-mile bike, and a 26.4-mile run.

My swim was NOT going well…AT ALL.

My sighting was completely off.

I kept course correcting and course correcting, and course correcting.

“What’s going on?!?!?!?!?”

This was happening while getting hit by arms and legs from other competitors.

This was happening while swimmers would swim OVER me.

This was happening while the dreaded voice of “You can’t Frank!” rang strong.

I stopped swimming and started treading water.

Then I repeated the words echoed in the voice of Dr. Wayne Dyer. “If you knew….”

I then yelled… yes yelled “NOT TODAY!!! FRANK!!! GO!!!”

I started my swim stroke and repeated: “I’m not alone!”

Stroked, repeated, “I’m not alone!”

Stroked, repeated, “I’m not alone!”

Throughout the morning, afternoon, evening, and late night I repeated “I’m not alone!”

At the end of the long night I came into the shoot leading to the finish line.

The crowd cheers roared!

I mean it was blaring on my left, right, behind, and front!

Deafening!

Then I heard the announcer say over the loudspeaker.

“Frank Zendejas! You! Are! An! Ironman!”

I WAS NOT ALONE!

We are all our own paths that’ll challenge us.

And, THEY WILL!!

Know that you’re not alone.

EVER!

If you only knew….
